Open Call: An open question posed to the public, inviting them to submit innovative ideas to address public health issues and implement in their local and global communities.
Designathon: A multi-day event for open call finalists to come together for three days and meet with industry, health, and community experts and mentors to further refine their intervention ideas before pitching their proposed solutions to a panel of judges in hopes to receive funding for an invitation to advance to the bootcamp.

Bootcamp: A multi-week event held for Designathon finalists for an intensive learning experience with opportunities for further refinement, development of skills, hands-on learning, capacity building, research and implementation sciences best practices, and growing as research and public health leaders in preparation to present to a panel of judges to receive funding and mentorship to support implementing the intervention.
Crowdsourcing: A method used to invite individuals to share new and innovative ideas to address an issue or answer questions posed to the public to drive positive change by incorporating perspectives and input from voices that have not yet joined the conversation or are looking to get further engaged in supporting a cause they care about or pursuing through activism and raising awareness.
Implementation science: The study of methods to study, promote, integrate, and implement evidence-based practices, interventions, and policies into routine health care and public health settings to improve population health, working alongside partners and stakeholders to develop, test, and sustain meaningful change and overall health.
